MCA-Nepal organized a training on International Roughness Index Class 2 Equipment Installation and Application for engineers from the Department of Roads (DoR), Institute of Engineering and its Road Maintenance Project (RMP) team from 19 to 22 December 2023 in Kathmandu.
The training guided participants in the use of the equipment to collect road roughness data on strategic road networks.
The collected data will be used to prepare periodic road maintenance and rehabilitation plan.
A total of 16 engineers took part in the training.
The training is a component of technical assistance activity under the RMP to build the capacity of DoR in road maintenance.
