The Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report prepared for the 40km Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) road maintenance works from Dhankhola to the Lamahi segment of the East-West Highway has been approved by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport on 18 August 2024.
A discussion meeting was organized earlier on 2 June 2024 with various stakeholders before it was submitted to the Ministry for approval.
The report will help MCA-Nepal adopt measures to reduce the negative impact of the project on the environment and the community.
