MCA-Nepal has awarded and signed a contract with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP to provide consulting services for Embedded (Resident) Advisors for Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC) under the Power Sector Technical Assistance Activity of Electricity Transmission Project on 15 July 2024.
The consultant will provide advisory support in the economic/financial, technical, legal and policy/institutional regulatory work of the ERC. The support will include strategic guidance, substantive regulatory reviews, oversight of various studies, development of core operational practices and procedures, and capacity building of ERC staff among others.
The Government of Nepal established ERC in 2017 as a regulatory body to regulate the energy sector of Nepal. The 1.2 million USD contract will be executed within the contract period of 48 months.
