Preliminary Action Reports on land acquisition have been submitted to District Administration Offices of Chitwan and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).
The reports were handed over to Mr. Surendra Paudel, Chief District Officer, Chitwan, and Mr. Krishna Prasad Lamsal, Chief District Officer, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) on 17 May and 18 May 2023 respectively.
District Administration Offices in both districts have decided to issue public notices as per Clause 9 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1977 as the next step. Similar meetings will be organized in all districts where the Electricity Transmission Project will be implemented.
As per the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1977 and after the formation of the Compensation Fixation Committee in nine of the ten affected districts, MCA-Nepal is expediting the process to acquire land for the construction of the transmission line.
