MCA-Nepal organized stakeholder meetings in the Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk districts prior to the issue of a notice on preliminary action to acquire land as per Clause 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1977. The meeting in Nuwakot district was convened on 10 April 2023 under the chairmanship of the Chief District Officer of Nuwakot Mr. Kiran Thapa and in Sindhupalchowk district on 21 April 2023 under the chairmanship of the Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchowk Mr. Ramesh Neupane. At the meeting, participants reached the decision to issue the required notice as per the Land Acquisition Act, 1977.
Such meetings are being organized in all 10 districts where the Electricity Transmission Project will be implemented.
