MCA-Nepal organized Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with project affected women at Kailash Municipality, Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City, Thaha Municipality and Raksirang Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district to analyze the socio-economic impacts on women and children due to resettlement activities of the ETP from 20 November to 23 November 2023. School children from Shree Nirmal Higher Secondary School, Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City and Indrayani Secondary School, Thaha Municipality of Makwanpur district were also part of the discussions.
The findings will be documented in the Resettlement Action Plan as well as the safeguarding measures plan accordingly. Similar consultations will be held in all project-affected districts.
