MCA-Nepal has completed cadastral verification surveys of lands under the transmission line routes in the remaining districts of Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur and Nuwakot after verification by Government of Nepal (GoN) surveyors from District Survey Offices.
The verification was carried out in Makwanpur, from 7 April to 28 May 2023, in Nuwakot from 23 May to 20 June 2023 and in Sindhupalchowk from 18 May to 14 June 2023. With this, cadastral verification works have been completed in nine districts except in some disputed tower locations. The verifications are part of preliminary actions to acquire land to construct around 315 km of double-circuit 400 kV transmission lines as per the Land Acquisition Act, 1977. After the completion cadastral field verifications, MCA-Nepal will prepare preliminary action reports as per Clause 8 of the Act.
