MCA-Nepal organized a financial literacy 2024 program for project-affected people in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) district from 7 to 11 August.
The financial literacy program was organized to ensure project-affected people are well equipped to manage the compensation amount received for their lands which is to be acquired to build electricity transmission tower pads.
Opening bank accounts and financial literacy for all persons receiving compensation are necessary precursors before compensation payments.
MCA-Nepal will organize financial literacy programs as a part of its Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) across all ten districts where land will be acquired for the Electricity Transmission Project (ETP).
